In '94, we had so few owners, each of us ran 2 teams (the dark ages it seems). Anyhow, one team was the Snoop Dougie Doug's All-Stars (and was terrible), and the other was a gang of solid, average players that never got the big press. Since I couldn't come up with a name for them, [Matt] Heslin [owner of Iron City Intangibles] came up with the Rock Hill Ramblers, and they've been with me since.

Shatili is an ancient fortified mountain village in Georgia that borders Chechnya. Baseball is quite new to the Shatili market due to the long-cherished pre-occupation with blood feuds. An interesting bit of trivia: Historically, Shatili has been known for its inclination to go with all-lefty pitching staffs. This is a result of the Caucasus high mountain tradition of hacking off the right arm of enemies. Shatili is managed by former MLB pitcher Jim Abbott.
